So much has changed!

Well.....since the last post a whole lot has changed, I am now super proud mummy to the gorgeous Jacob so this blog will be an update on all things baby. It will be a place for all my cool stories about the formula he drinks, the heart melting smiles he's given me and the fun songs we've been singing.
I'll review bottles, prams, toys, routines, children's groups and anything else I come across as well as sharing the roller coaster of hormones, feelings and overwhelming-mess of being a first time mum.

Please feel free to get in contact if you have any questions or feedback for me, I'd love to hear it!

The first!

Well, here's another first for me - a new blog!
I promise you i will try to keep the whingeing to a minimum, but can't guarantee a few won't slip out from time to time :o)

It's been a bit of a funny weekend, with no real plans to speak of and hubby off with the boys or working for most of the weekend I found myself wondering what to do. I didn't fancy the cinema, I didn't fancy sitting in my house (even with the promise of my best friend and wine on Saturday night) I didn't want to go clubbing, pubs round by me aren't very nice so what should I do??

I decided to turn my attention to the ever growing pile of prizes I'd won at work which I kept saying I would eBay, 3 hours later I had a smile on my face - I'd completely forgotten how much pleasure eBaying gave me, turning the crap into pounds. Although I always started spending the money in my head before the goods had sold lol.

Hmmmm, lunchtime on Saturday...I really wanted to stay and eBay the rest of the afternoon away, but I'd promised to meet up with a friend to go coat shopping which I envisaged would take the best part of a few hours. Turned up and he said he'd already found one and just wanted my opinion, 10 minutes later said coat is paid for - now what to do for the rest of the afternoon??
Had a wander through House of Fraser and Debenhams looking for a banana tree for me - does anyone know where you can get these from cos I can't seem to find one in a shop anywhere?!

"Do you fancy getting some food?"
Erm, is the Pope Catholic?! So off to Las Iguanas for Tapas and, much to my delight, happy hour cocktails!!
Las Iguanas Tapas menu was really good and the staff were really friendly (I will definitely be reviewing every shop, restaurant etc that I go to - if you like ranting you'll probably enjoy that!)
Lovely afternoon and 8 cocktails later I had decided what I wanted to do with myself that evening; I would throw caution to the wind! Not caring if I was cool or not (which it turns out I most definitely am!) I will play Cluedo at my sisters with a few (more) drinks.

After phoning round all the shops in town to see which had Cluedo we found it at The Entertainer. Whilst in there discussing loudly (and slightly tipsily) whether I wanted the classic or the updated version one of the sales guys says "I think I spoke to you on the phone" - I bet he wished he hadn't after we'd finished talking to him :)
At the counter the devil on my shoulder (Huw) whispers "ask if they have a drinking version" so I did lol and the didn't :o(

Oh well, let's see if they have anything in MenKind - ooooh snakes & bladdered, that'll be fun! Shot glasses filled with tequila to use as your counter. Very messy!
